The fast food chain currently has a planning application before Tipperary County Council.
22 submissions have been made to the local authority in relation to the plans for the outlet beside Lidl on the Slievenamon Road and Thurles Relief Road.
Among the issues raised are concerns that the development will negatively impact the areas visual amenity and create nuisance by way of noise and anti-social behaviour.
Particular concerns have been raised about the fact that McDonalds hope to operate the restaurant 24 hours a day.
The overconcentration of takeaways and fast food outlets in Thurles was also highlighted along with fears of the impact on the town centre should planning be granted.
A number of the submissions lodged with Tipperary County Council raised concerns over health issues and obesity.
A decision is due from planning officials by the 21st of this month.
