The deadline for submissions on a major solar farm near Thurles is looming.
Permission is being sought for a 247 hectare site located at Killough Castle.
A separate planning permission for gridline and battery storage will be submitted to Bord Pleanala at a later date.
Locals have expressed concerns that this project will negatively impact upon residents in the area.
They says the proposed route for connection to the national grid would restrict access to and from the homes of approximately forty people in the Holycross-Littleton area.
The planning application is in the name of Marmoris Limited, trading as Killough Solar – however the property was purchased by Coolmore Stud last year
Submissions must be in by this Thursday, 6th February.
