A major solar farm development in North Tipp has been given the go-ahead.
The local authority has granted conditional permission for an 88 hectare site south of Nenagh and the M7.
Renewable Energy Systems Ltd is the company behind the plans for the townlands of Kerane, Fawnlough and Ballynaclough with consent from five local landowners.
The application included a 10 year permission for construction and completion of the solar farm which would be operational for 40 years.
