Cahir Golf Club has received conditional planning approval for a range of new facilities at its course in Kilcommon on the Clogheen Road.
The application, submitted by head professional Paul Eivers, includes the construction of six covered range bays, a golf studio, and four external range bays.
Several submissions were made to Tipperary County Council in response to the plans, raising concerns about potential invasion of privacy, loss of visual amenity, noise, and light pollution.
Objections were also lodged regarding the proposed erection of 230 metres of 14-metre-high safety netting along the southern boundary of the driving range, with claims it could impact a right of way.
Despite these concerns, the local authority has granted conditional planning permission for the development.
