Gardaí in Nenagh are warning of another phone scam after being contacted by a number of people in recent days who have received calls claiming to be from their bank.
The caller says they need to transfer funds via Western Union and then try to obtain banking details.
Other TippFM listeners have reported being asked for details of bank or credit cards.
According to Gardaí these fraudsters are mainly targeting elderly people and seem to be hitting Tipperary at present.
