A man has died and another’s been arrested following a collision between a car and a teleporter in County Kerry.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at Rattoo in Ballyduff at about a quarter to nine this morning.
The driver of the car, who was in his 70s, was pronounced dead, and his body is still at the scene, while the teleporter driver was unhurt.
A man in his 60s has been arrested and is being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Listowel Garda station.
The services of the Garda Technical Bureau and State Pathologist have been requested and anyone with any information is being asked to contact Gardai.
