Pedestrian killed in Thurles crash

The man, who was in his late 30s, lost his life after being hit by a car on the N62 in the Clongour area at around twenty to ten last night.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel where a post mortem will take place.

The driver of the car wasn't injured.

The road at the scene of the crash was closed for a number of hours to facilitate the work of Garda forensic collision investigators.
