The public sector pay talks concluded yesterday evening and the organisation will now meet on Tuesday the 9th of June to analyse and consider the proposals which emerged from the discussions.

The two thousand euro pay increases are expected to happen over three phases between January of next year and September of 2017 and will be achieved through a combination of adjustments to the public service pension levy and a partial reversal of the 2010 public service pay cuts.

The Minister for Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin has welcomed the outcome.
