Parts of Tipperary badly hit by flooding.

Overnight downpours and thunderstorms caused havoc for drivers in Tipperary and across much of the midlands and south of the country this morning.

Flooding is still posing a problem at this stage, with a number of roads impassable in Tipperary.

The M8 has reopened between Junctions 7 & 8 Cashel – however the Dualla Road out of Cashel and the Old Dublin Road are still impassable.

The village of Poulmucka was also impassable this morning.

The Cashel – Fethard Road is said to be impassable at Moyglass while many roads around Ballinonty have been badly hit with flooding.
