Operation Surround, which targets drink driving in the Tipperary region, has been ongoing over the bank holiday with extra checkpoints set up around the county.

Gardaí are targetting the wearing of seat belts, drink driving, mobile phone usage and speed. 

Garda Niamh Dooley of Cahir Garda Station is also appealing to adults to make sure they and their children can be seen on the roads
