Over half of Tipperary septic tanks registered

56% of septic tank registration fees have been paid in North Tipperary while the figure for South Tipperary is just slightly lower at 54%.

This compares with Kerry which has the highest level of registration at 81% while Donegal is the lowest at 26% according to the Local Government Management Agency.

Those who register and pay the €50 fee before February 1st next will be eligible to apply for a grant of up to €4,000 or 80% of any works which need to be done following inspections.
