In excess of one million Euro in court fines have gone uncollected in Tipperary over the last four years.
This has led to calls for new enforcement measures to ensure the fines for criminal offences are gathered.

Fianna Fáil TD Jackie Cahill is calling on the Justice Minister to ensure the Courts Service has the necessary power to see that the money is collected.
He says at the moment the fines are not acting as a deterrent.
