New figures from the Irish Nurses Union show while this is a drop on 2014- it’s a 3 fold rise on the numbers in March of 2007 to 2010
Overall nationwide there were almost 9 thousand patients on trolleys across the country last month – the worst march in over a decade

St Vincents Hospital in Dublin saw the biggest increase between March 2014 and March 2015 – at 237 per cent.
It's followed by the Midlands Regional Hospital which saw a 125 per cent increase; St James Hospital in Dublin is next, followed by the Mater and Beaumont in Dublin, at 105 and 88 per cent increases respectively.
