Fianna Fail says a legal banking inquiry should be carried out rather than a political one.
They have also accused the government of using such an investigation as a political tactic against them ahead of local elections next year.

The party has said it will fully co-operate with the investigations.
The Fianna Fail party spokesperson for jobs, Dara Calleary, says such an inquiry will be limited as to what it can uncover.
