Number of planning applications in Tipperary continues to fall.

The National Housing Construction Index for last year showed a 24% drop in planning applications in Tipperary – a 1% improvement on the previous year.

Nationally planning applications were down 17 per cent in 2012, while the number of projects started was down 8 per cent.

Commencement notices in Tipperary were down by 18% last year.

However, the research, carried out by Link2Plans, did show the rate of decline was slowing by the end of the year.
