Number of Businesses in Thurles targeted by Sledgehammer attack

Gardai continue to investigate extensive damage caused to a number of businesses in Thurles.

In the early hours of last friday morning, Gardaí received reports of a man walking around
the square in Thurles with a sledge hammer.

The man then used the sledgehammer to smash the windows of a number of businesses on the square.

Up to 6 businesses were targetted, with damage in the region of seven thousand euro.

The man was arrested at the scene.
