NTA says Clonmel won’t be forgotten if bus route is cut

The National Transport Authority appeared before the Oireachtas Transport Committee this morning amid reports that the company is to cut its loses on three routes.

The x7 Clonmel to Dublin expressway is one of those thought to be under threat.

But NTA CEO Anne Graham says if that happens, they will examine the towns left behind to provide alternative services.

There are other private operators on the Clonmel to Dublin route but local Sinn Fein Cllr Catherine Carey says the Bus Eireann  x7 is a good service that locals can't afford to lose.
