The US Vice President Mike Pence has arrived in South Korea to visit troops just hours after the North made a failed attempt to launch a missile.
It exploded just four seconds into flight – and will be seen as a high profile failure so soon after the military parade yesterday.
South Korea’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Cho June-Hyuck says the North’s actions continue to put a strain on stability in the peninsula.
