No resolution to Louth traveller eviction

Last night, talks between the residents at Woodland Park and Louth County Council ended without conclusion.

Sinn Fein TD for Louth Gerry Adams, says the families are unhappy with the short-term rented accommodation being proposed by the local authority.

However, Louth County Council says it's committed to continuing to work with the families towards longer-term accommodation arrangements.

Sinn Fein has called for the Woodland Park site to be refurbished, and for the families to be returned to the location.

The decision was taken to evict the families after concerns were raised following a fire safety inspection.
