Following representations from the local national school and parents, a motion was put before this month's meeting of the Thurles Templemore Municipal District.
However following an NRA inspection it was deemed that it would not be possible to errect a crossing due to the current alignment of the road between Nenagh and Thurles.

Local Councillor Jim Ryan who has raised the issue is disapointed but hopes it can be addressed again.
