No compensation after water outage

The Housing Minister says the Government won’t be providing any compensation to businesses affected by the water crisis in the North East.

The water supply is slowly returning to normal in Louth and Meath after a week of disruption.

Many businesses suffered significant losses in revenue as a result.

But Eoghan Murphy says neither the Government nor Irish Water will be reimbursing them.

Meanwhile Irish Water’s been accused of making “a bags” out of the water outage in the North East this week.
