New role for Former governor

A Former governor of Mountjoy Prison in  Dublin, Tipperaryman John Lonergan is take take on a new role as mentor to teens from disadvantaged areas,  at Belfast Community Circus School.
The project , called John Lonergan's Circus Acts,  will be filmed for RTE as part of a six part series.
It aims to improve the social skills of the participants.
The skills taught by the circus school include acrobats, gynnastics,  body manipulation and rope work.
The project has been funded to the tune of 315 thousand by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and has an overal  budget of almost 400 thousand.
