Reverend Cannon Kenneth Kearon takes over from Trevor Williams in the diocese which includes several Tipperary parishes.
The official Service of Ordination and Consecration took place at Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin at 2.30 and the service was led by the Archbishop of Dublin, The Most Revd Dr Michael Jackson.
