New Beginning deny selling financial details

The Data Protection Commissioner is investigating, after information on 1,500 homeowners was sent to Arizun, which is based in Malta.

New Beginning works to achieve solutions for families who are heavily in debt.

The lobby group says the information was sent in error and it has requested that it be destroyed by Arizun.

It also says the individual who mistakenly sent the data, is no longer with the organisation.

New Beginning's Ross Maguire says they did receive a financial contribution from the Malta based firm, but did not sell the data.
