The former Bishop of Killaloe Kieran O'Reilly was installed as the New Archbishop of Cashel and Emly at a special ceremony in Thurles this afternoon.
Today's mass of installation of the new Archbishop was by special invitation only due to the sheer numbers set to be present for this historic event.
The New Archbishop of Cashel and Emly says Irish people are directly or indirectly encountering victims of human trafficking.
Kieran O'Reilly was speaking during his installation ceremony at Saint Patrick's College in Thurles today.
Among those present were the Aide de Comps for both the President and Taoiseach, political representatives from the Diocese of Cashel and Emly, senior gardai, local leading GAA figures and County Coucnil representatives.
During his homily Archbishop OReilly urged those present to stay alert to human trafficking and work within the community to eradicate it.
