An expansion of facilities at Thurles Racecourse has been given the green light.
A planning application was lodged with Tipperary County Council last February to construct 24 stables at the course which would require the demolition of an existing shed.
Further information was sought from Thurles Race Company Ltd in mid-April which was submitted last month.
The local authority has this week granted permission for the works to proceed.
