Nenagh Municipal Council has confirmed that many years after it was first mooted, CCTV cameras will be up and running in the North Tipp town.
15 of the Closed Circuit Television cameras which were installed on several of the main streets in January were connected up by the ESB last month before they were tested by Gardaí.

Once activated on April 1st the multi million Euro state of the art system will give officers an extra pair of eyes to patrol Nenagh's streets in an effort to curb crime and anti social behaviour.
