Nenagh Gardaí investigate fatal road crash

Nenagh Gardaí are investigating a fatal road crash which claimed the life of a man and a women in their 60's. 

The two car collision happened on the N52 Nenagh to Borrisokane road around 5.30 yesterday evening.

A man in his 20's was also seriously injured in the crash. 

This latest accident happened on the N52 Nenagh to Borrisokane road…just past the meat factory around 20 past 5 yesterday evening. 

A man and a woman in their 60's were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with another car at the Grange, Nenagh…around a kilometre outside the town. 

The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene….it's believed that the are from the area. 

A man in his 20's who was a passenger in the second car was seriously injured and was taken to University Hospital Limerick while the driver of the second car, a woman in her 30's was also injured. 

The road is currently closed for a forensic examination and local diversions are in place. 

Nenagh Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them on 067-31333 or 067-50450. 

This latest accident brings to 9 the number of people killed on Tipperary's roads since the start of the year.
