Nenagh works to be completed by December

All works on the gas, water and wastewater project in Nenagh are on course to be finished by December.

The multi million Euro project has led to quite a bit of disruption in the town.

However the construction element of the project is due to be finished this month.

Nenagh residents and businesses alike will no doubt be relieved to hear that the works in the town are on course to be completed by December.

The 17 million euro Ervia project is bringing natural gas to the town while at the same time improving the water and wastewater infrasturce

There were some initial complaints from business people in the town about the effect it was having on trade due to street closures and diversions.

However reinstatement works have already been completed on Friar Street and Abbey Street.

Director of Planning with Tipperary County Council Marcus O’Connor says they will be moving to othe areas from next week.

Later this month the focus will turn to Nenagh town centre.

Marcus O’Connor says shoppers and traders alike can look forward to having the works completed well in time for Christmas.
