Nearly 70 patients waiting for a bed in hospitals serving Tipperary today

University Hospital Limerick – which serves the north of the county is once again the busiest in the country with 54 waiting – while South Tipp General in Clonmel has 14 without beds.

Cork University Hospital is the second busiest with 36 waiting.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 414 admitted patients waiting for beds throughout the country. 315 are waiting in emergency departments, while 99 are in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.
