Cabragh Wetlands approved for funding

A Tipperary conservation project is among 45 across the country which are set to benefit from €800,000 in Government funding.

Almost €23,000 has been allocated for the Cabragh Wetlands Centres near Thurles on a project on Practical Responses to Climate Change.

The monitoring of bottlenose dolphins in County Clare, a BioFest in County Cork and a Living Bog project in County Galway are among the other schemes to be allocated funding from the Peatlands and Natura Community Engagement Scheme.

The initiative aims to support community groups promoting Ireland’s natural heritage.
