Progress is being made in providing a natural gas link to the Nenagh area.

North Tipp Deputy Michael Lowry has been pressing the need for a gas line which he says would provide a huge boost to local businesses and the entire community.

In particular the Independent T.D is targeting Arrabawn Co-Op as being one of those which would benefit most from a natural gas supply.

A recent meeting organised by Deputy Lowry between Bord Gais and Arrabawn Co-Op was described as most productive.

All going well it’s expected that Bord Gais will seek approval from the Commission for Energy Regulation to proceed in the coming months.
