Motorcyclists across the Premier County are being reminded to think safety before they take to the roads. 

Today marks the start of Operation Motorcycle, an awareness campaign on the dangers and safety precautions motorbike enthusiasts can take

Motorcyclists represent less than 2% of licensed vehicles in Ireland but 10% of road deaths….they are six times more likely to be killed on Irish roads than any other road user.

Inspector Eddie Golden of the Tipperary Traffic Corps says drivers need to keep a special eye out for motorcyclists as they can be difficult to see.
