Year on year, Emily has topped the nationwide list when it comes to Ireland’s most popular baby girl’s name since 2011, but in the Premier, Grace topped the list in 2015 as the name most preferred by parents in the region.
Ava was most popular in the north of the county, while Jack, James, Darragh and Harry topped the polls for boys names.

Some of the more unusual baby names registered last year in Ireland included Paris, Nelly, Pixie, Barra, Gus and Otis.
