The Health Minister has been accused of failing to live up to his promise to ease the chronic overcrowding at South Tipperary General Hospital.
During his visit to the Clonmel health facility last October Simon Harris described conditions there as utterly unacceptable saying solutions had to be found.
Local Independent TD Seamus Healy says nothing has happened with the situation at the hospital which is now worse than ever.
Figures out today from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 31 people on trolleys and chairs in both the ED and overflow areas of wards at the Clonmel health facility – nationally there are 612 people waiting for a bed today.
