Education Minister Ruairi Quinn was commenting on the poor showing of the party in recent opinion polls which predict Labour will lose its European seats in both Ireland South and Dublin in next Fridays poll.
Speaking on Tipp Today he also said the work being put in by local Labour councillors could help see them through.
