Fine Gael's Noel Coonan and Independent Michael Lowry will be the biggest losers following the change to the electoral boundaries.

That's the view of Deputy Lowry who says some claims that Minister of State Alan Kelly would lose out are wide of the mark.

Michael Lowry quoted tally figures from the Lower Ormonde area in last years General Election – Noel Coonan polled 2,300 1st Preference, Michael lowry 2,130, Maire Hoctor 2,000, Alan Kelly 1,154 and Seamie Morris 500.

However, when worked out on a percentage of their total 1st preference votes across the constituency, Fianna Fail's Maire Hoctor would be hardest hit losing 25% with Deputy Noel Coonan down 20% followed by Sinn Fein's Seamie Morris at almost 16.5%.

With a poll topping first preference total of 14,104 votes, Michael Lowry could lose 15% with Labour's Alan Kelly down 12%
