Met Eireann has issued two ‘Yellow’ weather warnings.

Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in northern parts of the country later.

A heavy rainfall alert is in place for Munster, South Leinster and Galway until this afternoon with accumulations of more than 25 millimeters expected.

Meanwhile, a wind advisory also remains in place for Connacht and Ulster until midday.
