Men due in court after Carlow incident.

Three men will appear in court this morning after a Garda car was rammed during a high speed chase in Carlow at the weekend.

Three members of the Gardaí were injured when a car failed to stop at a garda checkpoint on the N80 in Clonegal shortly before midnight on Saturday.

A number of patrol cars gave chase before the car stopped in Carlow town and rammed two of the garda vehicles. 

The Gardaí were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny where they were treated for minor injuries and a small amount of cocaine was recovered at the scene.

Three men were arrested and will appear before Kilkenny District Court at 10.30 this morning.
