A variety of healthcare organisations are hoping to recruit 300 doctors of all grades in the coming days.
Professor John Crown is consultant medical oncologist in St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin, and will speak at the event.
He says Ireland's healthcare system needs a radical overhaul to encourage staff to stay here.
“We need to really look at international, comparable systems, other social democracies with socialised health systems in Western Europe and say 'how did they do it?'” he said.
“And the main way they do it is by having a different career structure, having far more people becoming trained, accredited, senior specialists – having a smaller number of trainees who are there primarily to train and who work under close supervision” he added.
