A man entered the offices of solicitor Michael Collins on Main Street, Borrisokane at 9:20a.m. yesterday and poured what is thought to be petrol on the stairs.
Mr. Collins managed to force the intruder out of the building and he was ubdued until Gardaí arrived.

The suspect had allegedly managed to light the fluid, but only slight damage was caused to the door.
A 44 year-old man was held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Nenagh Garda Station last night.
The man appeared before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court this morning.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear in court again on Friday, 11th of July.
