A young man has died following a crash in Co. Tipperary on Friday night.
Just before 11 o'clock a 22-year-old man was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a second car on the N75 at Rathmanna, Thurles.
He was taken by ambulance to South Tipperary General Hospital with serious injuries and later transferred to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead late last night.
The driver of the second car – also aged 22 – was taken to Hospital with minor injures and later discharged.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Thurles Garda Station.
