Man killed in Dublin assault

A man's died after an assault in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí say a man in his 20s was attending a bonfire at St Mark's housing estate in Clondalkin when he was chased by a number of people across the Neilstown Road into Liscarne Gardens where he was fatally injured.

It's understood the incident happened at around ten past three.

The man's remains are still at the scene and the State Pathologist's Office has been notified – there have been no arrests.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time contact them in Ronanstown station.
