Man in court on burglary charges.

A man with a previous address in County Tipperary has appeared in court in connection with a burglary where a dog was stabbed to death.

Shane Power of no fixed address but with previous addresses in Carrick on Suir and Cappoquinn has been remanded in custody until February 5th next.

The 24 year old is charged with burglary of a house at Fairhill in Cork a week ago.

When Gardai arrived at the scene they found a 10 week old German Shepherd lying dead at the accused's feet – the pup had been stabbed a number of times with a kitchen knife.
