A female occupant was confronted during the home invasion in the Thurles area.
This arrest involving detectives from Tipperary and Limerick is all part of Operation Fiacla – which targets gangs and individuals who travel around Ireland committing criminal offences.
A man in his 20's was picked up by officers at a house in Ferndale Ballinacurra Limerick City yesterday on suspicion of being involved in the home invasion on the 26th April in Thurles.
While there were no physical injuries a female occupant of the house was confronted during the incident and a sum of money taken.
The suspect who is from Tipperary has since been transferred to Thurles Gardai Station where he is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be detained for up to 24 hours without charge.
