Man due in court over Regency Hotel murder

A man's due before the courts in Belfast this morning after being arrested in connection with the Regency Hotel shooting. 

The 46 year old was detained by the PSNI yesterday in Strabane County Tyrone – on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.

Police in the North say he was being sought by Gardaí in connection with murder and firearm offences. 

David Byrne died in the Regency Hotel shooting last February – he's one of ten people killed amid the ongoing Kinahan Hutch feud.
