Man due in court over Clare collision

Three pensioners were seriously injured after being hit by a car that was being pursued by Gardai in Parteen at around 5pm – one man's had his leg amputated.

The Garda Ombudsman launched an investigation and is appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.

Gardai say a man charged with incidents prior to the crash, will appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court at 2 O' clock this afternoon.
