Man dies in Cloughjordan crash

A man has died following a crash in Co Tipperary yesterday.

The 24 year old was killed when the van he was driving collided with a tree at Bantiss, Cloughjordan just before 6 o'clock yesterday evening.

He was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise where he was later pronounced dead.

The road is currently for a techinical examination and diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Nenagh Garda Station on 067 50450, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
