Man charged with murder of Bobby Ryan

The father of two worked as a truck driver and was also well known through his work as a DJ, using the stage name Mr. Moonlight – he was reported missing on June 3rd 3011.

His van was found in Bansha Woods and despite an extensive search by Gardaí together with Bobby's family and friends his remains weren't discovered until April 30th of 2013 in a concealed underground tank on a farm at Fawnagowan just a few kilometres from Tipp Town.

Following an extensive investigation co-ordinated by the Gardaí in Tipperary town supported by the National Bureau Criminal Investigation, a file was submitted to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. 

A 49 year old man was arrested last evening in the Tipperary Town area and charged with the murder of Bobby Ryan. He will appear before Tipperary District Court later today.
