A man has been arrested following a break-in to a house in Clonmel overnight.

The occupants of the house in the O'Connell Terrace area called the Gardai after hearing noises downstairs shortly after midnight.
Uniformed Gardai were quickly on the scene and apprehended a man in his 20's in the house.
He is presently in custody at Clonmel Garda station.
